True I overreacted, sorry... but it gets my goat people who tried to abuse this... by them blocking the coupon its obvious that you were giving them a coupon they didnt get money for... like handing them a forged 5 pound note!
  • But the whole point is he's not trying to abuse it, that's why he's asking before he buys a paper and then draws attention to himself.

Does anyone know if the book is carried by Waitrose?

Is it Jane Fallon's book? ... If so it is well up the chart and therefore very likely to be stocked by Waitrose ... My waitrose accepted last Saturday's one fine ....

And as I work on tills I know the embarassment factor envolved when someone tries to pass fake money.
It is very embarassing to both the customer to be told his note is a fake , and for me telling him he has a fake

Can someone confirm that Tescos have blocked this token on their tills before I shoot off down the newsagents to get one..Ta
The till wouldn't take it even though I bought the book. The SA called for the Supervisor who told her to enter a special code. It was then accepted.
This took some insistence on my part for her to check with a supervisor:rotfl:
