Does anyone know of Cash & Carry type stores in N.Ireland where you don't have to be a trader or own a business to buy goods?

Depends what you are looking for? Food wise and for some cleaning stuff I use the Asian supermarkets in Belfast when I'm up.

You do "have" to be a trader to sign up to Makro, but I signed up a couple of years ago just using the name of the company I worked for. No checks were done and I use it whenever I want and have never been questioned about "my" company.
There is one heading towards Lisburn from Belfast, does pretty much everything.0 -

Good stuff oneknight. Would Makro be the place to get electrical goods cheep for Christmas?0 -
They have a pretty big range of electrical stuff, tvs, fridges, sound systems etc. As for price I dont know how competitive they are for that sort of thing, but worth checking out.
All their displayed prices are net of vat, so you need to remember to add 17.5% to the price that is displayed as that is what you will be charged at checkout.
Talking of christmas, they have a pretty good alcohol section0 -
I am a member of Makro as we have a business but a relative of mine who is a physio also has a card of his own so I presume they are not that strict, after all you are giving them money!!
If you are a member you get the 'makro mail' which has good offers but I tend to find a lot of their electrical stuff to be quite expensive. Even if you don't get the makro mail you will see the better offers marked in store.
The best bargins they have are things like washing powder, clothes and shoes. The majority of things are similar prices to the high street.0 -
thanks for that jjd.
Anyone know the name of the warehouse in Coleraine which sells goods cheap to the general public. I was told that most of the traders at nuts corner and the fairhill in Ballymena buy their stuff from it.0 -

you're a star arkonite_babe. I was in ASDA'a Tesco's and Sainsbury's in Coleraine looking for the stuff and they never heard tell of it.0

Pretani you can get stardrops in Au Natural now too!! 69p for 600mls
The only place I could get it was Sainsburys and my nearest one is about 6 miles away which is no problem, but the Au Natural is across the road from my work, by the way all their cleaning stuff is cheap!!
