Hi Everyone again- having annoyed you all in regards to places to live now I was wondering if any of you had experience in regards to NTL/ Virgin Media broadband connections?
I work from home and have used BT business broadband (dont get me started on BT, they have the worst attitude and are a nightmare to deal with) and have decided to go with NTL / Virgin Media using their XL broadband package with M telephone line (free weekend calls or something)- works out at £31 per month for both- which is a lot better than what I paid to BT- so just wanted to know if anyone had this and what you thought of it??

wouldnt touch them with a barge poll! when i decided to leave them for another provider they wanted more money saying that i owed (didnt). sent me threatening letters and were going to contact the balliffs! (this was all over £15!) wrote to them detailing every payment i made to them in regard to the time i was with them and sent them a real cheaky letter back. eventually they wrote back saying i owed them nothing and they were sorry i was leaving! never again!0

I know a couple of people with Virgin and I get mixed reactions from them. I also know a few people with Sky Broadband who swear by it and I've set a few systems up with no bother. Saying that, others have had issues with Sky too.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

We've been with virgin for about 2 years and have had no bother at all, we have xl package with v+ box down stairs, normal box up stairs, phone and bb for about £35 per month. We have rcently moved house and they had put a charge on our a/c for something or another, one call and it was removed, we had a problem with the box upstairs cutting out, they came out within a few days to fix it, very prompt. Personally would reccommend them to anyone.:j Norn Iron Club Member No. 343 :j0

i had them for 6 years until i moved out in february... until maybe 4 months before i moved i would have recommended them wholeheartedly but lately they have started limiting speeds during peak times which i found very frustrating. i loved the V+ box and video on demand though. i never had any billing issues but i think i might have been the exception to the rule. If your exchange is sky LLU unbundled the sky surf speak see bundle is just as competitive and although i don't have it myself i have heard nothing but good reports.0

had ntl/virgin for a while now with the v+ box and internet+phone.
Found them to be competitive in price and you get setanta sports as standard which is good for the footy.
Had no end of my friends with sky complaining over the past 2 weeks that when they tried to watch the footy the reception is awful in the bad weather that we have had. This is a consistent problem with sky when it is windy or wet and is a major plus for virgin as the cables that run under the ground are unaffected.
Had some bad reports about the sky broadband as well - problems with coverage and poor customer service when trying to ring through and sort out the problem.0
