Loft / Cavity Wall Insulation Grants Avavailable Again From Today But Be Quick

Energy Savings Trust Grants are back on again from today with another 200 available spaces. These are the grants that were withdrawn about 4 weeks ago. Phone number is 028 6634 0780

If you previously received a pack from them but were too late requesting a Client Reference Number it is availble from 1pm today again. I got mine just before 5pm but was advised that they have only been given another 200 client references to give out - so be quick. This is not means tested.

Hope this helps someone

  • I just phoned the energy saving trust this afternoon and they confirmed that grants are still available. It's on a first come, first served basis but they don't have 200 client reference numbers but have '200 measures available' - whatever that means!

We can get up to £150 cashback on cavity wall insulation but it's free for over 70's or those on qualifying benefits.

You don't get a client reference number until you are sent an information pack, get quotes from installers in your area, and inform them of which installer you intend to use.

You then have 45 days to get the work completed, paid for, and receipts sent in. I was advised that it can take some time for the cashback to be paid.

This is nothing to do with Gordon Browns announcement.
