Have a look at the APR's, they are HORRENDOUS!!!! try a bank or credit union instead.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

I desparately needed £400 asap cos i had council tax arrears plus owed about £100 on a credit card.
I had a handful of days to clear the CT arrears or they threatened court action - so i took out the Prov loan.
YES the APR was horrendous but i was aware from the start what the monthly payments were going to be and i stuck to that.
I have only just paid them off ( a year later  ) but am glad to see the back of them.
I'd have described it as 'desparate times - desparate measures..'CC1: [strike]1,500[/strike] CC2:[strike]£830[/strike] Vanquis [strike]£1500[/strike] £2000 left
S.Elec: [strike]£258[/strike] £ 0
CT [strike]1734.52[/strike] £ 0
Ebay £ 10.00 /MystShop £ 17.00/Quidco £ 0 so far!0 -
Hi there
I was advised not to to go with Provident because of the high interest rates but it depends on how urgent you need the money. I myself would join a local credit union, but you have to save first before you can borrow and it is normally 1 1/2 times your savings. Also I would try the local CAB who might have other companies they know.
