Quorn enhances food packs with foldout promo campaign
Amy Golding, printweek.com, 26 November 2008
Vegetarian food company Quorn has unveiled a new on-pack promotional campaign that uses foldout leaflets containing recipes and money-off coupons.
The re-sealable 12pp over-laminated Fix-a-Forms are applied to selected packs of meat-free sausages, mince, burgers and chicken.
A spokesperson from creative agency Blue Chip Marketing said: "Our brief from Quorn was to focus on getting current customers to buy more.
"On-pack media is the most cost-effective method of talking to current users, and we were keen to use this effective space to offer recipes, product info and coupons.
"We took a strong brand and added a bright on-pack promotion to enhance the pack image and hook customers who browse meal options."
The campaign was backed by two supermarket mailings and a series of press ads. The promotion can be found in Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Asda stores.
Also can confirm my Nestle pic a pac had moc hidden at the back of the boxes (see my post a few up)0 -
From HDUK today
picked up a 125g of Splenda granules at Morrisons yesterday. It said there would be a free sample of Splenda tablets in the box. I assumed it would be a pack of 10 but it's actually a small box of 100!! Also, there are two coupons for their new brown sugar blend, one for 75p off, and a second for 50p off. Very useful if your going to do a lot of holiday baking.
So considering the Splenda tablets would normally cost between £1.30-£1.50 plus the two coupons - I think it's a pretty good deal!!!0 -
HDUK re Somerfield deals;
Instore get the 800g Mcvities biscuit tin for only £3.99, noticed that most tins have a 50p voucher on the outside which could possibly be used to bring it down to £3.49 (picked a tin up myself today and took voucher off and used it to pay with)0 -

These are on sale at Waitrose for 99p! Soooooo... you can get a creme caramel 4-pack for 49p!! (sale ends around 2/12, so be quick!!)
Found this on HDUK from 4 weeks ago, so maybe its all their products;
Bonne Maman Raspberry & Coconut Crunch (110g) reduced price at 24p in Tesco Blackpool yet on the packaging is a coupon for 30p off your next purchase. So in effect you could buy one pack then use the coupon to get another pack free then use that coupon etc etc0 -

And if you in a Tesco store with a pharmacy, ask the pharmacy assistant if they have a goodie bag to give out at the moment. Someone reported getting a new one with a few freebies and coupons, including an Actimel £1 one (which has a Tesco logo but going by previous Actimel coupons it may well scan without buying the right product).
So get the goodie bag first if they have it (they may ask you to buy something at the pharmacy but they don't all insist). Then rummage in the bag for the Actimel £1 moc and present it with your purchases at the till (which may or may not include the Actimel mentioned by UltraCheap, with a further moc inside).

Dairylea Dunkers have a new moc (2 x 30p mocs in fact, on each pack) stuck to the outside of the packs in Tesco. These are on offer at 2 for £3 on end aisles at the moment.
The mocs are clear to see and are on the breadsticks, nachos, all varieties AFAIK and valid until end of February. They are nss and both scan fine without buying the Dunkers, which I had bought separately earlier in the day at another store.
Be careful with the mocs, last night I used my first 'one' and missed the fact that there are 2 different mocs there joined together. There's 30p off for one Dairylea product and 30p off another, so you can use them both in the same transaction. Tesco policy allows one of each product moc (not one per manufacturer although I know some stores have this wrong).
Make sure you separate the 2 mocs - unlike me - or the cashier will scan just one barcode for 30p off, when you should get 2 x 30p off your shopping.

Hi Coupon' ...
This may be a little off thread ... but watching the gogglebox last night ... Nell McAndrew popped up and said she felt a little bloated ... poor girl!
Anyhoo's ... she said that bless them ... the Activia folks were doing try for free again ...
Does anybody have any first hand on this one ... Do not normally buy these but would do if they are free ... Last year I think I even came in in profit with the BuyTwo'sForHoweverMuch's ...

It's been a long running offer but in Tesco's (not to sure about other stores) they sell single Huggies swim nappies for about 78p and inside there's a voucher for 50p off your next purchase. These are great if you need to get rid of any vouchers going out of date and you can then sell the nappies on Ebay, in your local paper or even at a carboot to get the 28p per nappy back.
They did do a similar offer on pull up pants but not seen this for a while although its good 2 still look out for it.0 -
exotic fruit flavour has a little sticky fold out voucher on the front worth 50p off next purchase (or against shopping in Tesco). And it normally costs a lot more than £1. I don't know if poundland accept vouchers as I used mine in Tesco.0
