Cosmo Beauty Bag update

For all those who are still awaiting their Olay beauty bags I received the following email today from Cosmo as I chased them up last week...

"Hi Natalie,
Very sorry that you are yet to receive your Olay goody bag. We have passed your details on to Olay and they should be sending them out soon! Sorry I can't give you a more specific arrival date!
Regards, Laura "

Not very satisfactory is it??!! Any suggestions as to a next move?

I sent this back to Cosmo:

"Laura,
I appreciate your reply but am very disappointed that Cosmo are not taking ownership of the fact that I and 199 others are still awaiting a prize from over a month ago!
If Olay are the sponsor's and distributors of the prize, I would expect Cosmo to chase them up - Cosmo should manage the prize giving being the original advertisers of the competition.
I await your reply."

hope it arrives soon. unfortunately prizes can sometimes take weeks, if not months to arrive. hope your wait isn't too long

I don't think i'd have been quite so narky with them at this stage - in my experience, a month really isn't that long to wait for a prize - as hayley's experience shows, they can take much longer than that!

I agree a month really isn't that long. Once a month has passed thats when I usually contact them with a polite email. Quite a few of my prizes have arrived late because of various problems.

Hope you get it sorted though, I'm sure it will arrive eventually

I agree with Dunners & Laura. I've had loads of prizes that have taken quite a while to arrive: like the mobile phone that arrived in August but I won in April (had no idea).

I think also very often the staff at the magazine (or radio station or whatever) that ran the comp are probably pretty peed off with the comp sponsors. Like Laura, I wait a month and then get in contact. Generally, the staff will be as helpful as possible. Maybe it would be worth asking for a contact at Olay.

Hmm... I rang a week ago and was told the girl dealing with it had finished her placement but they were being sent out that week... I think someones telling porkies! I havent heard anything since.
