Trust deed advice please?

I had a trust deed where my last payment was made in Jan 07 and I was discharged approx July 07. I checked my credit report from Experian and it still shows as defaulted.

When I was discharged I spoke to my trustee's PA and she said something about having to write to credit reference agencies. Does anyone know anything about this? On my credit report it says defaulted accounts would be removed after 6 years.

Also my partner(his credit rating is ok but he is self employed with only 2 years accounts) and I would like to get a mortage soon. Has anyone with a trust deed managed to get a mortgage?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
