The irony you can walk into a supermarket and buy a significantly better PC than anything PCWorld etc can offer :D

But you have to add £150 or so on for a 17" TFT monitor (Well you don't HAVE to, but it dosen't come with one...)
  • wow! An awesome bit of kit! Nothing touches this in the price range...if only I could justify another cpu......

I would be interested to know if it comes with a printer too as it says , directly print onto cd's and dvd's although it might have a lightscribe burner i guess
  • If only I knew what DVB-S cards they use, I'd like to have plenty of 3rd party support (and like using ProgDVB/HispaDVB). It'd make a great PVR especially as it has two of each tuner, SCART socket and what looks to be a good remote.

Doesn't make sense buying a PC this year with Windows Vista coming out next year. Will this be Vista ready??

Pretty sure it's Vista ready - has a dual-core processor.
  • I wonder what software it comes with to support the dual dvb-t, dvb-s cards?

Oh dear... Another Medion offering... Take it from someone who used to work there... If you're buying this for Christmas, get ready for a disappointing one...

I wouldnt worry about Vista too much as its reckoned to be out
Oct 2006, and the longer you wait the more bugs will be fixed.
