iron-on transfers?

Its is my birthday soon and i need to make some t-shirts, I can buy some cheap ones from asda or tesco but i want to put a slogan on the front ( its cheaper doing them myself).

But where do i start?? i need a step by step of how to do it, and what i need to buy and then instructions of how to iron them on etc...

You need something called Lazertran paper, which you can buy from WHSmith (but probably more cheaply somewhere online ... it's expensive stuff). It comes in packs for a few A4 size sheets, and you need different ones depending on whether you are printing on white or dark material.

Print your picture or slogan onto the reverse of the lazertran paper using an INKJET printer, cover with an old cloth then iron onto your T-shirts. There will be full instructions in the pack.

Try and get several slogans/pictures onto each page of the paper, then cut them up to size. It's too expensive to waste any!! Have fun :)

Search on e bay for T shirt transfer paper, lots for sale on there, most home ones are face down to iron on so it means you need to mirror your image, if not you will get back to front text, I have had one make which wasnt a face down to iron.
dont be tempted to buy the ones that are for commercial heat presses as most will require a lot higher temperature to fuse it to the garmnt than you can do with an iron.
Make sure you know what shirts you are going to iron it onto there is different paper for white garments and dark fabrics.

ask for the ironing instructions from whoever you buy the paper from as they are all a little different.
