If you are asked to pay more than £2 for a copy of your credit files then IMO it is a rip-off.0

Get your credit file for free from both big players experian and equifax on line for 30 days. You will also have access to all their online services.
Make sure to cancel the subscription before the 30 days is up or you will get charged...
