Hello everyone! I did Avon YEARS ago (as a teenager at my parents' home: parents still do my old round now!;)) and thinking of taking it up again in new area.
Can you successful reps tell me approx how many man hours you put into Avon on an average campaign? Please could you include everything from delivering brochures/chatting to ordering, bagging up, chasing payment etc?
And (optional, as I don't know if this might be sensitive info?) how much you tend to take in order value per campaign?
Thankies!Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Hi Skintslimmer. I have done 2 camps and about to start my 3rd so still not sure how much time I put in. Obviously when you first start you are getting familiar with the territory, working out where your customers are etc, so this takes time. I maybe do about 2 weeks of about half hour MAX. During the week (About 5 hours?) that's dropping off, collecting, then prepping deliveries, chasing payments, not sure.
I have made about £30-40 gross in the last 2 camps, less admin for the brochures, freebies I want to give, stuff for myself and hasn't left me with much. But I believe you've got to speculate to accumulate!!!
Once I have sorted my territory I am confident I will make some money. Probably not much in the way of "hourly rates" but I am enjoying it, which is the most important thing for me.0 -
Says I have 8 units, yet I ordered more this time that last, strange really. Although I did order less bubble baths and heavy stuff like that.
Lyndsey I don't intend to start delivering my cats until tomorrow. I must have about 120 or so houses to deliver to in my existing territory, so I figure if I drop 40 off each drop (20 C9 and 20 C10) and leave it with them for 3 days, then I only need to do it 3 times, total of 9 days so that leaves me plenty of time as I have 16 days until I need to order. I don't know if it will work out this way as sometimes I can't be bothered doing my drop when I intend to, but I am aiming for this. I need to write out a new calling book actually as with the amount of people I no longer deliver to, my book is looking a bit of a mess.
I might attempt my new territory this week, but need to work out how many cats I have first. I always drop and collect on the same day to minimise the amount of time I have to go out. I plan on delivering my orders from Friday onwards, hopefully will get them all out at the weekend.Avon Rep

I know what you mean about being bothered to go out!! I will have done 40 by Friday, leave it with them all weekend.
I have ordered 2 new books as mine are a mess too whittling out the ones that don't want one. Gonna have 1 for each camp to make it easier!0 -
Also, can you carry 40 cats? 20 is a struggle for me in my bag for life!! I have one bag with 20 in, deliver, then come home and maybe do the other 20, or will do tomorrow, depends how many deliveries I get done tonight.0

My last order has just been collected/paid for, didn't even have to leave the house :T The customer says she's moving next week but not far from where I live but not on my territory (i deliver to the street she's moving too but I have numbers 80+ and she's moving to number 67 ). I already have an order for her though so will just take a book with the order to her new house anywaySmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0

Lyndsey I use a bag for life and I use the Starter pack bag to put 20 in there. This way all the weight isn't on my arms. I didn't actually do all my territory last time, I missed about 30 customers but only had 2 days left and didn't think it was worth leaving them and chasing it up at the last minute. I still haven't developed set delivery days (for cats) or collection days, need to get into a routine for that.Avon Rep

Just got my order delivered:j So it seems that my orders do come on Wednesday from now on. I have 5 big boxes, 2 packs of 20 cats and a tummy toner (although not sure if it is the right piece of equipment). Gonna make 2 trips to get the stuff back to my house. Let's hope it is all there this time, including all the watches!!Avon Rep
