WH Unsecured loans....

Ok so I posted a few days back re: yes loans. decided against paying 60% apr and requested my money back.

Long story short - had loads of phone calls from people who now have my info (nightmare!) and one in particular earlier from WH Unsecured loans - these seemed to be not quite as stupid as yes loans but still after my experience with yes loans will never not ask all the questions required and ask for blunt straight up answers.

they have said I can get a loan @ 6% (yes six percent) apr for loan of £10000 over 4 years. afte rbeing quoted alot more previously I was suspicious and asked if this was typical etc, I got straigh answers back and they either have no issues with point blank telling lies or they might be the real deal. apparently the only way the apr will change is if the bank of england alters the base rate. Sounds too good to be true?

Anyone had any experience with these? any info appreciated!

has no body heard of these? I am very tempted to pay the broker fee as I really need the cash but dont want to be scammed again and find out that the apr is actually something stupid again.

Any experience or heard of anything?

it would seem unlikely that one can get an unsecured 6% loan unless one had a absolutely perfect credit record and a very good income (even then I'm not sure).

I have just been on the phone with them. They seem VERY eager to get the "broker fee" out of me.

I have been looking at 7500 over 4 years, and they say it is 194/month, but say the APR is 5.6... Now, in my books this is more like 11.6%, but I was definately told 5.6

After reading this forum, I may start to look else where. a "£45 Broker Fee" seems a bit high as a risk.

Anyway, I am continuing to search the net, see if they are worth dealing with - but I am already getting suspicious.

    Okay.
My advise - dont bother with them.

They are also known as Walker and Hammond, and are, from a simple google search, not the best company to deal with.

I will certainly not be dealing with them.

    Thankyou google!

mate you should NEVER pay upfront for that sort of thing. the broker fee should be added to the amount borrowed and be added to the credit agreement and pretty clear to be honest, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. you can't get a mortgage at those rates, there's no chance a personal loan from a company you never heard of are going to give you a loan. sadly they prey on vulnerable people and you've ben duped. hope this gives people a good warning. never ever pay for something like that up front,

If there's a fee tell them you're happy to pay it upon completion not beforehand.
  • I have just spoken with this company after I applied online to an advert that said no upfont fees. MMMMMMM then they told me that I had been approved for a loan for £8,000 at 5.5%. I then asked them had they done a credit check, they then said no. MMMMMM how can you get a loan with those rates without a credit check and with a poor credit score. All they want is your £45
STAY AWAY FROM ANY COMPANY THAT ASKS FOR ANY TYPE OF UPFRONT FEES

These 'companies' can only legally take £5 of your money for admin fees...

    Get the rest back!!!

As a note, if you want a loan, and any company says 'send us £45-£50', steer well clear
  • does anyone know how we could get our money back off this company? ive looked around and ive heard that they are only legally allowed to charge us £5 for a fee. any help would be appreciated
  • Thank you Cat213 :T :T :T
