Meringe (can't spell!) is always good and if you use sweetner less points. Maybe with some fresh fruit and 0% fat greek yoghurt :EasterBun0

Nice idea! I have sweetener from last time I cooked for her. Never made meringues though although if it goes wrong I can turn it into a kind of Eton mess!! :rotfl::cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I have made a WW recipe loads of times and it's popular with all members of the family. Using small oven proof dishes (e.g. ramekins) make a lemon meringue but without the pastry. really delish!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. This is always a big hit with dieters and non dieters alike. I know it's fruit but it is tasty fruit and it feels like a proper dessert!

I can't give the recipe for copyright reasons, but I think it's OK to list ingredients, isn't it?
3tbsp cornflour
1/4 pt/150ml water
3tbsp sugar
juice and grated rind of 2 lemons
2 egg yolks. Let mix cool a little before you add these.
bake 5 mins
2 egg whites
1tbsp caster sugar
bake 10 mins @ 180C"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi skintchick,
I've added your thread to your earlier one to keep the suggestions together.

I find that google is very good when searching for recipes and it doesn't even get offended when you don't say please. :rolleyes:Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. I have made a cheesecake today, it makes 8 slices and each slice will be 571 calories.
As I am calorie counting I will incorporate it into my count, however, I was not keen on making it with low fat cream cheese/low fat spread/low sugar or sweetner as I am always concerned about the taste.
I made some oat biscuits a while back and used low sugar and the biscuits had a funny taste but I wasnt sure if it was because the butter had absorbed some smells in the fridge, was a bit old.
So I will try again with cutting calories in things but what do others do and do they come out ok?
We eat cakes and biscuits so rarely so its not biggie to do some extra exercise but really I would like to bake a bit more but would only do so if I can cut the calories without the flavour too much0
