Pulling out of remortgage with Nationwide

Just before I contact Nationwide I was hoping someone else may have some info. We are in the process of remortgaging from Abbey to Nationwide. So far we have filled in the initial forms for Nationwide and had a valuation done.

Abbey have now reduced their rates and made us a good offer which we would prefer to take.

My question is will we incur fees if we pull out of the application process with Nationwide? All there costs (Lawyers etc) were free but does that only apply if you actually take the mortgage with them.

Unfortunately I don't have any T&Cs for the application process as I applied online

Thanks

Jim

I'd have thought that if you've seen no terms and conditions regarding fees, and none have been made available for you to check anyway, there won't be any. How could they charge you without telling you beforehand?
