    Wow! Cool! Thank you!

I LOVE audio books - just got the Tess of the D'Urbervilles FREE and another book, too: Eoin Colfer's Half Moon Investigations (Unabridged) - dunno how, to be honest - seems I had an Audible.co.uk credit I wasn't aware of - so the 1/2 moon is over the moon - Eoin Colfer entertains us all - from age 7 to 40 something!

    THANKS OP

So confused - set up an account and tried to download the book, but failed.
Have a generic MP3 (from Asda) so don't know the manufacturer.
  • Just a heads-up for anyone who may still want this, the offer expires tomorrow, Tuesday 16th. You do need to register with the Audible website and download their software first, before you can get the book.
Yes, but you can also transfer to mp3 player or burn a CD.

It seems you can only burn to a CD if you have iTunes (which I don't) and only transfer to certain supported MP3 players. Mine is on the supported list but it still won't transfer to it  so I'll only be able to listen to it while sitting at my PC.

You can download iTunes for PC. Try download.com (cNet) for free trial software, shareware, freeware...

    For Windows XP/Vista

    For Mac OS X 10.3/10.4/10.5

I too tried to download onto my samsung mp3 player but it wont let me. I have itunes, windows media and emodio (samsungs software) as well as the audble now and nothing works:mad: I only get as far as getting it onto my pc. The offer has been extended to 22nd September as well. I walk quite a distance to work and get fed up with the radio on the move sometimes. I have gone on the Radio 4 website and have subscribed to the Archers podcast to be sent to my pc every day which I'm hoping will download onto the mp3. Pity you can't download the great plays they have on radio4 and radio7 onto your mp3, they will go onto your pc though.

Does anyone know of any free sites that work ok with English accents though not keen on American narrators reading classics. Sorry America love the way you speak but not reading to me.
