Double Glazing

Is it best to go local or with one of the main dealers?

We went with a local firm and found one that was more a manufacturer than doing the big sales push. They came round and measured up, then asked what we wanted. I was shocked and was expecting glossy brochures and the hard sell. They said we could have any kind of windows/doors/stained glass etc we wanted as they made them all themselves. This was fantastic and we paid about £5500 for 17 windows and 4 doors... (have bay windows and each panel is classed as a window in itself, and front door, side door and 2 patio doors). They were fantastic and fitting only took 2 days. Would def recommend local & might be worth ringing manufacturers to ask if they fit as well? Good luck! :j
  • my OH fit ours himself but the company (local manufacturer) he used also do fitting & cost less than 1/2 a national company. So definitely worth looking around.
