dithering dad is this the flat you rent?
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • The point of my post was to say that this has already been discussed. The dig at !!!!!!? was just an aside for a bit of fun. Had this not been a repeated thread then I wouldn't have commented, because as far as I'm concerned I'm not interesting in revelling in someone's discomfort.

I guess it must be a slow 'bad news' day today, so we're now resurrecting old discussions to talk about all over again.

    Be my guest. Please.

p.s. It's a fair comment when it comes from Generali, who doesn't have any 'argie bargie' with anyone, but a bit hypocritical from yourself who does like to 'get personal' and indulge in argie-bargie quite often, don't you think?

'just an aside for a bit of fun.'- as long as it isn't directed at you. Then you take offence.

I'm sure we have all said 1 or 2 things when things get a little heated. But I have NOTHING like the ability you have for wrecking thread and putting in the barbed comment.

I still think you can be a troll, but that's my opinion based upon watching threads develop and the way in which you sidetrack them, not a word thrown out just to insult.

I thought the twin renting/buying thread was a great question, developing nicely, then went to pot as usual...coz you boys just can't play nicely.

Banging on and on and on and on, with the same purile claptrap is boring.

Change the record or take it out on each other with PMs.

Oh, and you just can't avoid editing, to get that dig in that you forgot on the first attempt, can you?

Now as usual, someone else, me in this case, is the naughty boy, it couldn't possible be you who can stand up like a man and take responsibility for his actions.

He felt like he'd been "kicked in the guts", oh dear.

If I saw the greedy tw*t he'd be feeling like he'd been kicked somewhere else, deserves all he gets.
  • In the example, it is indeed a massive BTL loss. In many other cases it is simply a loss. Owner occupiers will have lost just as much, if not more.

I guess the OP's delight comes from that fact that this particular loser bought to let.

    Hey ho.

  • Mr Conroy had a bit of a gamble and lost . But I'm sure he'll take it on the chin. You can't win them all after all. :o

Is he not in it for the long term then? Property always goes up. Doesn't it?

He's waiting for the Spring Bounce to sell. It'll be along soon.

As every fule nose studios are the most volatile property types. In boom times they go up like mad and in bad times they plummet more than anything. Generally the most stable properties are the low-mid range 2 & 3 bed houses as they appeal to investors, first time buyers, those upsizing from flats and downsizers.
