I have been searching this morning for one for a present...Comet currently have 1/3 off some of their LCD TVs plus free delivery...

This one at Asda is a little over your budget but I can't find any others this size for this price!

How about an old CRT TV that someone's getting rid of because they've bought a new LCD set? Might be able to get one free from Freecycle, or cheaply from eBay or your local free ads paper.

I picked up a top-of-the-line Panasonic TV for under half-price this way, and it was only a year old. The picture's better than most (if not all) LCD TVs, too.
