:hello: Hi,
I have been teaching adults painting in the last 2 yrs. I am considering starting classes for children. Is there anything I should be aware of before I start. Any advice would be appreciated

Sorry to sound sinister, but never get yourself in the position where there is just you and one child in the room. If the child claims you touched them or anything like that, you'll be guilty until proven innocent.
My Dad was a Deputy Headmaster and was so wary of never being with a child alone in his office in case the above happened. He's seen it happen to other innocent teachers out of sheer spite.
You'll also probably need to be police checked if you haven't already been.
Other than that, enjoy it! I've been into school myself doing volunteer teaching assistant jobs. It's really good fun, especially when they really want to learn something and it's lovely seeing the work they produce. Here I go again on my own....0 -
