Pregnancy hamper or gift?

Hi there,

My friend is pregnant and I would love to send her a pregnancy hamper full of nice nibbles, bath oil etc.

However, I don't really have time to go out shopping for the bits and bobs to make my own - does anyone know any reasonable companies that would do it.

the natural hamper compnay are very expensive £75 fo a hamper not including P and and P.

  • Take a look on ebay as people sell them on there.

  • Are you doing one just for her? or for the baby aswell? I've done one for my best friend and one for her soon to be born baby. I managed to go to poundland and get almost everything there. They're quite big hampers and cost me a total of around £30 for the two. I also found Wilkinsons is very good for things for mum. I'm not sure if this might be an option for you. Good luck! xx

    Hiya x

What about sending your friend a voucher for a mothers2b massage instead? I had one at John Lewis for about £40 and it was lush! If you google local spa's around where your friend lives I am sure you will find something reasonable - I don't mind helping you if you let me know where your friend lives.

Its just an idea - I have recently had a baby and it was one of the loveliest gifts I was given ( loads of my pregnancy lotions and potions never got used as I was too knackered to be bothered with them - ha ha).

Ooh another idea - and I wish I had done this is a notebook / journal for your friend to document the pregnancy - I wish I had written the important things down like when I first felt Daisy move and stuff like that.

It's a really lovely thing to receive, just a word of warning as some aromatherapy oils shouldn't be used whilst pregnant.
  • Do you know what I wouldn't have even THOUGHT about the oils and probably would have packed her a load off - you can tell I haven't had children..

alison - she lives in didsbury in mancehster but she already has a 2 year old running around and she has her own business - i don't think she will use the voucher and I'd hate to think of it stuck in a drawer.
