free batteries for hearing aids!

My daughter has a hearing aid, we get her batteries free on NHS. The batteries dont fit watches, they also dont fit car alarm remotes before anyone asks.

I wonder though if a person buys a hearing aid without NHS advice if they get charged for batteries in which case leave them for the people who need them, we go through loads of batteries so if they were paid for they would cost a fair bit of anyones budget.

'Better Hearing' Company sell their own private (normally expensive) hearing aids so IMO those of you that applied will probably get lots of junk mail trying to get you to buy one of them. This is their way of getting info about who wears hearing aids. You'd be better off getting the free NHS batteries, thats what I do...

If you got your hearing aid from the NHS then you get free batteries supplied for use in the hearing aid.

If you bought your hearing aid privately then you have to buy your batteries to use in it. The NHS does not provide batteries for privately bought hearing aids. Worth bearing in mind if you are looking at buying a private aid.

Back to the freebie - the batteries will not be the right size for power for other uses but there was no harm meant in asking I am sure!

The hearing aid battery is bigger than normal small battery so they won;t fix in any other products.

hearing aid batteries come in several sizes - my analogue aids used small batteries, my digital aids use bigger ones, I get mine free from my surgery as I have NHS aids.
