Dissolving companies/Restarting again

Hi folks,

Was not certain where to add this but anyway, many of you may have tried to reclaim maybe Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) due to being mis sold this, or you may have other reasons for complaint against a firm.

Now recently I have been reading a lot of posts about companies dissolving and restarting again, just under a different registration company number.

I for one, have a complaint about one of mine.

This company is called "Click Finance Ltd", we had a loan with these in July 2004, it was for over 25 yrs but we decided to settle this the following year.

Anyway, since learning of the mis selling in the media, we realised we were mis sold in many of our loans with PPI with many reasons, so we recovered some of these but when it came to Click Financial Ltd we complained and requested a refund etc.

About a fortnight after the compliance manager from Click finance writes to confirm that - that actual company Click had dissolved in 2006.
We then had this confirmed by the liquidators, we could not take this to the FOS or the FSCS because when we had taken out this product they were not covered by either GISC or the FSA, saying that I am still waiting feedback about GISC.

Meanwhile, I have been receiving some useful advice on this firm, they are running as Click and have been since 2000/01, and the director for this existing firm was that of the other Click financial too.
As stated the only difference is that of a reg company number.

I have also learnt something about "Phoenix firms", here is a link that will explain this:

http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/news/firm/2005_archive/phoenix_firms.html

And if you check on the google search engine there will also be more useful information.

We are right now waiting for some feedback from this existing Click Finance Ltd, but they are not in a hurry to get back like they promised.
I will keep on until I get some answers.

Anyone else out there going through the same thing, do some digging and see what you can find out about these firms.

I know that this happens but when it comes to customer complaints they will not take any responsibility of this.

However, if anyone are in this position you may be eligible for the FSCS:

Worth checking this out.
I will post up here as soon as I hear and please add your post here if in the same position.;)

Thanks.
