Boots do monitor this website, it has been mentioned frequently in previous posts, but remember Martin Lew is and MSE could get into trouble if what you are doing is against Boots policy.

Sorry to be a killjoy but we all enjoy saving money and getting the best for little spend, so let's just be careful.

it isnt against policy dont worry just something i noticed whilst browsing the boots site..as you do. :rotfl:
i earned my points fair n square and im a parent so knicking mine and oh,s points was very naughty of mr boots , fair enough cancel his if we werent soposed to have two cards but why mine:confused:
i havent abused boots by scanning loads of gwps etc for free or anything just made advantage of the exra points on naile files etc which they are stupid enough(or clever enough by selling them then cancelling your card! ) to tempt you in with.
i buy all my baby stuff there so think they were very unfair as was saving my points for xmas as mentioned before.
i blame this site anyway naughty:money: i never went near boots before, i stumbled this thread by accident when the highlighters were the glitch of the month...i was then hooked:rotfl:

This may sound daft and i know only 20% off the cost of the breast cancer stuff goes to charity but i would feel funny using vouchers on it. :o

    Morning all :)

    cpg?

Despite what I said yesterday about not feeling bad about using the vouchers (even though another poster said the voucher is worth 20% to BCC) I couldn't do it. I had a lip gloss and blusher in the basket, which I'd had to ask them to get out of the drawer, and was looking for a third item for the 342 when it suddenly hit me how greedy it must appear, and how awful I felt. I had to hand them back, so the next time they appear, I'll pay with points.

*** I'm not certain but I think there was a poster on here who was putting the £2 off Digital Photo till split to good use. If whoever it is wants any, I've found half a dozen so can they PM if they want them pls?

Only shopped using up the No7 vouchers yesterday (thanks for the tip rubylou - I bought the nail files x 3 for £3 + 1 voucher and R&M buffers etc :)) but still need to use a few up. (Think rubes and myself must be the only 2 peeps not using 2 x till splits to get the mascara and palette lol - I'm a real scaredy cat ;))

There was more Botanics accessories out in the larger store yesterday with 75% off, but none in the other stores I looked in. Still worth looking for the gloves at 88p etc though.

    Off to catch up :)

I know, just wanted to warn people that were thinking of doing something naughty that the site is monitored, and we have to be careful.

Yes, there are glitches too on .com, also site crashes when you are trying to buy stuff!

I understand what you are saying about your points for xmas, it is hard, when you spend so much money to save for xmas, and then something like this happens.

Yes, I think a lot of people blame MSE for their filthy moneysaving habits! I too never used to shop at Boots so much or use the ACM vouchers. I used to print them off and then throw them away if I wasn't buying the product... then I learnt about this site and I was hooked.

Maybe we should all buy shares in Boots, recover our money that way.:rotfl:

Yes, Pash, my smilies gone too.. thought it was my laptop...
  • Wasn't pash......it was me! *pokes tongue out*
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

your right, the instructions arn't the best!
    I personally would:
Cover the upper and lower eye lid with the lightest colour (4th colour on the pallet).
Then cover the lower lid with one of the lighter browns (2nd or 3rd on the pallet).
Finished off with a brush of the darkest brown along the top of the eye lashes, continuing into the corner of the outer eye lid. for a more dramatic look, apply another couple of layers of the dark brown.
    hope that helps:o
