if you buy a meal deal with points does it affect your buy 6 get one free deal?
    thanks!

I do this all the time (to justify my bootsing) and it still counts towards your free meal deal.
  • Thats great and I'd love one ! So what do you have to buy to get one of those ?

Also I just wanted some advice ....................... I'm thinking of getting some of the Olay Regenerist 3 point treatment cream which is £29.99 (quite a lot really) and currently in the Boots '3 for 2 mix and match on selected facial skincare products' promotion. So I could get 3 pots for £60 (still a lot but works out at £20 per pot.

    My questions are :

    a) Has anyone used this before
    b) Whats it like, worth the money ?
    c) When is the 3 for 2 promotion on until ?
    d) I know the current till spit is £5 off electrical (which I won't use), does anyone know how often the till spits/vouchers change and any idea what the next one would be ? I'm wondering if its worth holding out for new till spit before I do the 3for2 on the cream

What do you seasoned bootsers think ? TIA

Really, really don't bother. I haven't used it myself by the way, but I know for a fact that if you want to see any difference in facial wrinkles you will be very dissappointed. no face cream will decrease wrinkles, ignore all the pseudo science 'pentapeptides' stuff, pentapeptides will improve the appearance of your skin by telling it how to function 'normally' but it is impossible for a face cream to change the shape of your skin.

This, however, would be a good cream if you were prepared to forget the anti-wrinkle claims, EXCEPT that it is packaged in a jar which means most of the 'high-tech' ingredients (including pentapeptides, antioxidants, vitamins... all the stuff that would actually make a difference to the appearance of your skin) will oxidise when they are exposed to air, leaving you with a very basic moisturiser after a couple of uses. If you're willing to spend this much on a face cream, always go for one in a tube or pump bottle so the ingredients don't spoil.

In fact, the olay regenerist and total effects serums have most of the ingredients that the 3 point cream has, but it won't let air in so you will actually get the benefits (except of course wrinkle reduction), meaning these are infinately better buys than the 3 point cream.

(sorry, that sounded quite stern! :))
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)
  • on saturday in my local boots (swansea main branch)the td vouchers were being given to customers using the face till spit, the sa,s were cutting them out of the magazine and giving them to people, also they had some cut out ready and left by the td products on the shelves, just thought i would mention this as i know some people were worried that they had used more vouchers than they had purchased magazines.
nobody was asked if they wanted the magazine and i saw an sa just scan the voucher without removing it from the mag.
so boots were aware of this glitch and sort of advocating it,do you all agree??
    td=200 points voucher.
  • Hi all!

Not sure if this has been posted already but the 500pts WYB 2 jemma kidd has ended. I tried ydy buying 4 files for £6 (due to the 3for2 promotion - in order to gain 1000pts) but it didn't work.

Also, leamington spa boots has no smokey no7 GWPs in. They do however have a full clearance stand and the back of the shop near the meal deals etc. Lots of bits including: ted baker mens wash bags, vanity cases, hanging toiletry bags, medicines etc.

    My bargain ydy was:

    2 x head and shoulders shampoo @ 60p each
    1 x head and shoulders conditioner @ 60p

    Total to pay: £1.20
3 FOR 2 kicked on the clearance goods!! :D

Will eventually try to read back the 30 odd pages since i ame on here on the 9th! lol happy shopping!

Hope it doesn't look like I'm knocking your great find btw :o (thanks again) but I'm sure you'll understand what I was trying to say to I_am_mad :) x
I know you better than that passion;)

And yes I did try and do the glitch instore and it didn't work.

( sorry can't double quote ~ in work and the internet is sooo slow at lunchtime so would take me ages)
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

I think the total effects one may also be packaged in a bottle rather than a jar, meaning these are infinately better buys than the 3 point cream.

No that didn't sound stern at all. I appreciate an honest opinion. I'm not one to usually fall for all the marketing wrinkle decrease claims, but this one did seem to have fab reviews and also I used love using just good old oil of ulay (remember that). Luckily I'm not too wrinkled yet !, but fine lines are appearing (around the eyes) and I'm after just a good moisturiser really. I have combination skin and still suffer from regular outbreaks of spots (I've tried everything for these and just put it down to my genes now). I can't wear anything on my face at night (makes the spots worse), so its just a good day cream that won't make my spots worse, is what I'm really after. I use Garnier Skin Naturals UltraLift Firming currently, I am asian, so prone to oily breakouts too ...................(in my late 30s).

If anyone has any suggestions or anything they have tried that they would recommend then I'd love to hear about it. TIA
  • Ok... here i go again!

I have updated what i have and I doubt i will use any of the new ones. Was spending way too much money that i dont really have! Still get donations of vouchers from family though, as i am now notoriously getting on their cases about them not using them! Seems such a waste!

I now seem to only spend my pennies in tesco, which has defo curbed the spending!

I would love to swap my boots vouchers for tesco points vouchers. If there is any one interested please pm me!

I do have a purse with other vouchers but it is missing at the mo, so will update when its found!

My DS has a stinking cold, using Boots vapour rub on his chest yesterday but could still hear him struggling to breathe during the night. He had a rotten night, lost count after the first 2 times, how many times he woke up during the night.

Is Boots Karvol any good? Prefer not to give him to many medicines, prefer natural ideas to make him feel better.

    snip.........

I use Karvol for my son and also myself lol. At night i put a capsule in hot water in the room that he is sleeping in and it helps a lot sometimes i put a couple of spots on his pillow too. It does smell a bit for a day though but not really bad.

  • Sorry if this has already been asked, I did look back over a few pages but couldnt' see. Does the No7 sun stuff which at the moment is half price and bogof now become 3 for 1 because of the new offer on No7 from boots?
