I think somebody else asked this question earlier, but I can't see a reply yet so thought I would ask one of you experienced Bootsters for your advice as I am a newbie.
If you take an item ordered online back to a store without a receipt will they give you a refund in the form of a giftcard, or alternatively exchange for another item?

I've taken a couple of things back without an invoice as I had no printer at the time, but I've always taken the delivery note with me. One store tried to fob me off by saying it should be returned to Boots online, but CS told me to take any items back to any store and they'd sort it.
I'm not 100% certain but in one case I might have received a refund, but in another I was given a gift card.
