Wonka Bars

Options
My youngest son was engrossed in Charlie & the chocolate factory this evening. This got me thinking whether Wonka Bars were still available in the U.K . I remember them being popular when the movie was released but haven't seen any in the shops for a long tme ;)

  • Hi, i have seen these quite recently, but can't remember where. Might be worth checking somewhere like Woolworths who stock a wide range of sweets.

  • The Wonka range were made by Nestle, there were a number of different products like exploding candy and so on, there is a website which doesnt seem to be active anymore.

Home bargains had some of the products a little while ago but I think Nestle have discontinued most if not all of the products.

I think some products are still made in America including sweets never made here and you can order some of them through e bay.
  • I seem to remember hearing that the Wonka bars are no longer made in the UK and are now collectable because they built up quite a following - US ones are available on Ebay eg http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wonka-Chocolate-Bar-American-Candy-Sweets_W0QQitemZ130247884862QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

I'm always in there if I'm in the area.
    Life's what you make it....

Life beyond voluntary work scares me, but what else is there?

  • It does appear to be specialised. An American milk shake shop and sweets has opened in our town. That does wonka stuff. I remember shaking a whole packet of popping candy into my 3 yr old brothers mouth:eek: Just to see how he would react, he did laugh, cos we were laughing, but only after a few terrifying seconds of stuned wonder:rotfl:
