Amazon are doing a ds with a choice of game for £109. The list of games to chose from is quite good.
I need on for Christmas as well for my son but I daren't wait too much longer, I worked in Argos last year and the amount of people looking for a ds for kids presents was unreal, they were like gold dust.Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards. Great question Blue monkey, looking for one for DD after her's broke. Sent it off to nintendo for repair and they want £55 to repair it!!!
Not impressed so I'd rather get her a new one for a bit more. She's really missed it since it broke and the brain training has been really helpful with her learning.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Right, been off town this morning and the cheapest has to be WH Smiths at the moment. I got the DS, Pet Vet and Sonic Tennis for £99.99. I could choose any colour I wanted so went for Pink and blue. I have 2 of each game so I ran around Game and Gamestation and it was £16 trade in for both which was a bit pants really as they are new and sealed so I am going to stick them on eBay. The games are priced at £29.99 for the vet one and £19.99 for sonic so really good savings as far as I am concerned as I got 4 dames and 2 DS of my colour choice for under £200. Thank goodness I think Xmas might just be done!!
For the person saying about buying closer to Xmas, sure, it is the chance you take but I buy my presents, a few each month between May and October/November and then onwards from that it is buying extra food to put away. My DD birthday is November as well so I have to factor the cost of a party in there too. It's all about spreading the cost, not waiting until the last minute and finding there is not enough money for x or that x is sold out. Now I've got £40 in Boots points to buy bits and bobs for the kids as stocking fillers too.
Also, if after Games too, Toys R Us have a deal where you get the DS and 5 games which you can choose from a selection. If buying online stick the postman pat letter set in for 96p (reduced to clear) and then you'll get free postage as well. Depends what games you want.
Last night looking online I've found quite a few. Box sets on Asda are £18 each and free postage. Lots of cheap games on tesco.com too, choose all DS games and stick them in price order, lowest first, to get the best deals.0 -
The other thing I wanted to add, and I guess it is probably obvious, was to check prices before you buy. I've seen lots of 'offers' this morning in the shops or Buy One Get One Free, I've come home to check and they are cheaper online, some even more than 50% less. So always check what you are buying before you get it.0

Hi the games are interchangable but I'd advise that you get your stepchild a DS LITE otherwise their cred points with their mates will sink through the floor.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Unless the child is young. My DD8 has a DS from before DS Lites came out and doesnt care that its not a Lite.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
