In today's Independant, page 4 there is an advert stating that if you go into your local independant health food store you can get a week's supply of solgar multivitamins and claim a MOC in addition. I dont believe it I have a supplier in my town wanna bet they didn't know they were part of the promotion like the walkers pub and the tobasco lunch one? Oh well try it and see.

Please be careful with taking vitamin supplements and dont fall for the marketing hype that they do you good.
The evidence is now in and the most authoratitive review of it (Cochrane) says that they offer no benefit and in 2 cases (supplementation of vitamin A and E) they are associated with slightly eariler death than those not taking them.

Well, you might have guessed it .... the one time I get an offer that is near me, the stocks have not arrived and apparently, Solgar have inmposed stipulations on the stores as to how much they buy in order to get the free sample to give out. I was also under the impression that this was a jar of vits but I now don'e think it is, only a couple of vits in bubble packs (correct me if I am wrong as this is only what I have heard)
Never being one (any more) to let it rest, I have emailed Solgar and told them that I think this is a shoddy offer if they can't produce. Let me know if anyone else has found the same:mad:
