That's a good idea. I always thought butchers would be more expensive - been to the local farmers market the last couple of months and a lot of their prices aren't cheap.
I get paid on the 25th of each month. Do you think it's worth waiting until payday again this month before starting my spend diary? I think I will as most of my money has already been spent!!This is WAY more fun than monopoly.0 -
Uhm...Farmer's Markets - I try to avoid them because they often over inflate their prices. You need to find a good butcher who has been established for a long time - be careful of some because they just sell frozen meat that has been thawed out.
Find yourself a greengrocer too, or if you are travelling near any farms that sell produce visit them directly rather than the Farmers Market.
Make a list when you go shopping to that you aren't duplicating anything. Try not to throw food away either. Again the good ladies on Moneysaving Oldstyle come up with all sorts of ideas.
It may sound strange but take part in some of the challenges on here - make £10 a day or even the £2 Savers Club, its amazing how quickly you can acquire £2 coins - you can become quite obsessive about them:D
Hope this helps - and keep visiting so that we can help you out.0 -

The board sure is busy Skitz.
Just remember if you are left with a potato, a tin of tomatoes, a crust of bread and a shoelace the folks on Oldstyle will be able to think of something that you can make:D
