My thoughts would be it may be a trial for one of these 'save the environment' things the supermarkets are keen on now. Doing 1 main shop (usually more than the £50) saves petrol/fumes rather than going every day or two days for small purchases, and the 'normal' points incentive makes it more profitable for the customer too ( well not really as it was more before.. they should have just doubled the points or w/e so people don't rant etc..would have been a better idea).
But i only shop with Morrisons.. so i'm not knowledgeable on Sainsburys points.0 -

So if we go shopping half as much, the planet is ok and all of the huge development in Asia, Russia and the sub-continent is all ok? Brilliant. Not going to Tesco tomorrow then. I'll go twice next week.0 -
I shop at sainsburys spend 150-200pwk im not on benefits ok i am not in a minimum waige job but i choose to pat the extra few pennies (look on the comparison sites it is literally pennies nowdays) on good quality food for my family. also they always trial things in scotland and wales 1st look at the new vacine for the 12 yr old girls we have this first aswel. in my opinion the nectar points instore (like the 100 extra on frozen food) more than makes up for the 1 point per pound.
altho if you do spend less than £50 in sainsburys i can see why this would be annoying but we have to remmember this is a loyalty scheme not a right:rolleyes:september:£22 jackpotjoy,screensaver,£50 thomas cook voucher0
