Pension mis-selling

When I left the armed forces I was persuaded to commute my pension and give a lump sum to Allied Dunbar in a pension. I fear that I was wrongly advised by the advisor as he never explained the options to me. I know that there has been a big push on endowment mis-selling - is there a similar scheme for dealing with pensions?

Occupational pension transfers during 1988 and 1993 (IIRC) should have been automatically invesigated. Often this involved you completing a questionnaire to help ascertain some of the facts.
If you have any concerns, its best you raise them with Zurich and get them to answer them. You should also enquire if your pension has been through the "pension review".I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
