Cash Converters Buyback Loan

Hi all,
Poor student here, and I don't have enough money to pay this month's rent (£41 short) which is already overdue. I was considering putting my iPod in a Cash Converters Buyback Loan for a few weeks until I'm paid again and can buy it back. Are these any good? What are the fees?
The iPod is an 8GB Black 3G (video) nano. How much could I get?
TIA

Hi mike - could you talk with your landlord and ask him if it is okay to pay what you can afford this month and the balance on payday?
They are unlikely to 'evict' you if this is a one off.
Also, do you not have a Counselling Service at college that you could talk to - there may, even, be access to some 'hardship' fund for temporary help.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

In my old store, if the item was mint boxed and with all the leads, £40 is resonable. Cash Converters payback is a shocking £52 on £40. Where I work now it's £48, a lot fairer.0
