Quick quid and credit report entry, wrong!
I applied for a loan of £200 on the 3rd August 2007, this was declined and i never received any funds.
I just got my credit report today, and it shows CashEuroNet UK (i.e Quick Quid) as me oweing them £200 and 10 months of default notices. I contacted them immediately and was told i was correct but it was impossible (clearly not!) and i never received any funds, (which i knew!).... i was then told the best they could do is send a report to experian with a notice of correction, but the defaults record could not be removed. I am absolutely furious, whilst trying to build up my credit rating once again, this is a major blow and i am so so annoyed.
Is there anything i can do, can they not just get it removed bearing in mind it is admittedly their fault, and also am i entitled to go the legal route and claim damages if CashEuroNet UK do not deal with this in a satisfactory manner.
Thanks for any advice.
