PaP/Moozie's What will you spend/have you spent today Monday 8th September thread

Good morning everybody :hello: :hello: :hello:
I'm sorry if I haven't ben about much, over the weekend - we have had my Sister in Law, daughter and her two granddaughters over from Italy, and I have had to spend some 'quality time' with my family.
Unfortunately, whilst it is great to see them, it has not been a very DFW weekend - especially as I had to collect my daughter as well.
So, having already spent over £50 on petrol, possibly the same again today if I have to do the 'Airport Run', as well as an additional £60 on grocery spends over the weekend, I am, as my penance, going to aim for a few extra NSDs this week.
Am still waiting to hear about my job - did try to phone this morning, but was told that the eneral Manager was dealing with it and won't be in before lunch.
At least that gives me a chance to start today's spending thread, so without further ado, let's start with those well known, but necessary, three little words of wisdom, from the thread's founder, moozie :
And have a great day, everyone

Rog I've had my fingers crossed for you on the job front for ages, they may never uncross :rotfl: Seriously, I do hope it turns up trumps for you.
Families do tend to be expensive, don't they? but I'm sure it's worth it, terribly lonely without them.
I'm hoping for another NSD today, should make it, but I do have to buy a card a prezzie for my dad's birthday sometime this week.

Morning all.
As Piquant says wewill contiune to corss fingers re the job position Rog. You have been missed.
Saturday; went to the leeds meet so spent £16.97 - not bad for a day out!
Sunday : bought my Dad a pint; my mum a coffee and me a Dandelion and Burdock - change from a fiver (Ossett brewery pub if you are interested Rog!)
Today : if I am going to make Twinks Hob Nobs I need bicarb of Soda; could also do with breadcakes for work lunches as the bread I bought on the way back form hte meet is so thinly sized I dopn't think it will work with the Pork joint I roasted for sandwiches. I also need more milk as I'm having cereal in the morning. So; £2.00 should be enough - none of it frivolous!0 -

Didn't realise that there was even a brewery in 'Ossett', peb.TBH I've never stopped in Ossett - only 'bypassed it to get to the Airport or from the A1 to Leeds - will definitely stop there one of thes days.
I didn't think anyone still made 'Dandelion & Burdock', peb - it was our Sunday 'treat' as children, to be taken to the pub by our parents and to sit outside with a dandelion & burdock whilst they had to stand inside that 'smokey bar' and pour 'awful' beer down their throats, purely to ensure that we could 'enjoy' our dandelion & burdock outside in the freezing cold and rain for two hours.
It took me years to realise what 'sacrifices' parents had to make for their children. :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

You are most welcome, Dewberry - this thread is open to anybody and, whilst it is closely linked to the 'weekly challenge' neither is dependent on the other, so feel free to post whenever you like. :TI am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser.
