Hello all!
Does anyone know how to press a rose? I don't have and I don't want to buy a press just for this one flower?
Thank you in advance.

i have always used our big leather family bible with other heavy books atop-put the rose between a couple of peices of sugar or blotting paper - i imagine any heavy book would do with other heavy books on top of it : )0

Thanks brokenwings - that sounds simple enough. Does that mean tissue paper (you know the stuff that presents come wrapped in sometimes) would be ok?more dollar$ than sense0

i THINK it needs to be more absorbent than that kind of tissue
if its isnt absorbent then the flower will lie there in its own sap or whatever the liquid in the leaves is called and will probably go soggy rather than the dry pressed you need for the flower to keep
i am no expert on this but have done quite a few the way i described above and have had none turn brown or go nasty
kids sugar paper in art books is cheap - you might even be able to buy it by the sheet0
