How can I check that my P60 is correct?

I was doing my Tax Return last week and realised I didn't have a P60 from one of my employers. I phoned up and they sent me one last week. However none of the figures on the P60 match any of the figures on my last payslip for 07-08. Is there anyway in which I can check it is correct? If so how?

The pay and tax on the P60 should match your final paylsip for the year. If you disagree with the figures, you need to take it up with your employer.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

Thanks. I came back to it with a fresh head this afternoon and realised that they have taken the details from my last pay slip (Sept), so in theory they have given me a P60 for 08-09. I have telephoned them and they have said they will do it again. So problem resolved.0 -
The final payslip of the year from your employer and the P60 should contain the same details of pay and tax to date. It is sensible to check this and also to check that you have paid the correct tax. Tax could be overpaid if you've had the wrong tax code, more than one employment during the year or several employers at the same time.
Why did you bring back all the VERY OLD threads on all of the boards??
Does the reason have anything to do with trying to flog your website??
