Hi,
Can anyone recommend a decent gas boiler repair company in Belfast?
My boiler has packed up this evening and I've no gas, heating or hot water!
First time it's happened so would really appreciate if anyone could point me in the direction of someone who won't rip me off.
Thanks.

What are the symptoms? THe most common faults are:
If pilot light won't stay re-lit 70% chances are its the thermocouple thats gone. (Universal replacement would be less than a tenner and take minutes to fit). 20% chance its a "poor" flame - service will rectify, 10% chance its the gas valve which obviously varies with make but liable to be in the order of £50-70.
If main burner keeps going out almost certainly its the high/low thermostat thats gone. Most gas boilers have two settings, flip it to the other one and see what happens. If it is the thermostat it is again a cheap job to fix.
If the boiler hasn't been serviced for some time , get it serviced at the same time as it is repaired! A decent heating engineer will do a full serivce for about £500
