Black head removal - what sort of beautician??

Hi

This might sound like a pretty stupid question actually, but I was just wondering what sort of beauticians do black head removal?

I've been to beauticians before but they all seem to do facials i.e. masks, massages etc but I've yet to come across a beautician that does black head removal. Is this something that is not a regular service.

I am in dire need of black head removal - tried it myself but have too many!

Also how much would it cost on average i.e. per hourly session?

Many thanks.

you need to google 'blackhead removal tool' and get some nose/chin strips.

Blackheads are just pores blocked with old grease and will come back again in time.

    A 'Zitologist' ??? :D
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

I think it depends on who you go to see - I have never asked for it, but it has always been done. When booking, ask for a deep cleansing treatment, specifically mention the blackheads and they should be done at the time. If you are a little unsure, before the treatement, they can put you under the big magnifying lamp and tell you what they can and cannot do (ie if it your skin is too fragile for example) so that hopefully there will be no disappointment!

    Hi

Thanks for the tips. The blackhead strips certainly don't work on me! I've used them previously and they removed less then 10% of the total blackheads! Also they don't even cover the whole of the areas affected by the blackheads.

I might look into getting the removal tool - not sure as to whether it's gonna be all that effective though - but anything is worth a try!

The only way to stop black heads is to keep your skin spotless Im afraid. No way am i saying you aren't clean but there's clean - and there's getting off all the gunks that will give you blackheads.

Blackheads are blocked pores and usually what's blocking them is sebum which your face produces naturally and dead skin cells.

So you need to deep clean, those pores, try to control sebum production and slough off dead skin

Easiest, cheapest and most productive method I have found (and I promise you not a single blackhead in months sine I started using this method) is the OCM, or for those that dont know - the Oil Cleanse Method.

Give it a go for a week or two - I swear you wont be needing to buy anything else to "treat" blackheads as you just wont ever be developing them again
