Hi All,

I joined the forums a few months ago and have been lurking around reading posts but have not yet posted and not too sure how to start:confused:

Do I post my debt and my monthly expenditure on here?

I am also a bit confused as to all the "challenge" threads going on especially the live on £4k for a year one - I have read the links but I can't seem to see what people are doing to save money:o I have probably missed some thread somewhere though.

Looking forward to some great advice:wink:

  • Hi and welcome to DFW!

You certainly can post your debt and monthly expenditure (SOA) - we'll see what we can do to help.

Some people find that having a challenge helps focus their DFW activities; go with something you are comfortable with though - everybody has their own circumstances to contend with.

    Good luck and keep posting!

  • just wanted to say hi and welcome you will get some great advice on here. One of the best tips ive found is spendingdiary.com which allows you to list ALL your spending records its a bit of an eyeopener:eek:
  • Thanks. I have replied to some of the challenges that I feel are appropriate for me. We are not spending more than our income and can afford our repayments so I guess we are lucky in that aspect but I feel that we could tighten our belts to ensure that the debt we have (of which half was for our house) is paid off quickly and doesn't grow anymore as we have been really lazy about it.

Heres hoping I can become a dfw nerd too;)
