OK. Got a few codes and this is what the basket holds. I am really trying not to buy makeup at the mo but seems like a good deal and great freebies (free cream samples, also blended powder, lipstick and brush and free delivery!). Opinions welcome, or youse can say that as a MSE I shouldn't be wasting my money on such fripperies!!

Do you have to pay a lot for postage? That normally puts me off buying Clinique online. I am always tempted too with Clinique freebies. I have so much Clinique that I now restrict myself to buying what I need when Boots have a bonus time offer. I try to have some Boots gift vouchers that I have earned from Pigsback to reduce the cost and also go to the Boots advantage card machine and get a total spend bonus points coupon. Alternatively I buy it when I have enough Boots points to cover the purchase. This way a little splurge isn't so naughty! In fact I enjoy buying it even more.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

In this case the postage is free, I got a code. I am torn, I know I don't really need it but it is good makeup, the powder is a bonus and and the lipstick colour is perfect for me...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Next time you are in a department store why don't you just ask for samples of the products you are interested in? If you pick a time that isn't busy they may give you a free makeover using the cosmetics of your choice.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

If postage is free it's pretty good. Obviously only you will know if you have £18.50 to spend on something you don't need. Personally I think sometimes it's fine but other times it's not, ie do you have a debt that it could go towards.
As you don't 'need' it you could wait until you have earned avantage points or pigsback vouchers like I do. Especially as you will be earning points from Xmas shopping soon, no doubt.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -

No, I have no debt and decent savings - but I am trying to spend less generally!Since discovering MSE I've moved on from buying stuff like this because I can afford it, to paring my spending down to the essentials and the odd treat. IYKWIM. Soooo... decisions...

Hi Tara
I think you made the right decision. How about you put the £18.50 in a savings pot. If you do this everytime you are tempted and resist you will soon see the money grow and get a real sense of achievement. ps Your bathroom will be much tidier too!:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
