ppi reclaim
Options
hi im new back in september 2003 i took out a personal loan with the halifax i remember at the time telling them that i was self employed and they sold me ppi but i have now read the policy and it looks as though if i wanted to make a claim for unemployment i would have to stop trading and/or be in the process of being wound up or in the hands of an insolvency practitioner.
i was not told of this at the time .
would i be able to make a claim as being misold
thankyou

It has taken you 5 years to read the policy?
If you wanted a full refund as a mis-sale you would have had to do something about it in the first 30 days.
You weren't told of what at the time - and how come you have found it now in he policy?0 -
only just read up on ppi and misselling
wasent told had to stoptrading/insolvent to make unemployment claim0 -
We had the same thing with a loan taken out with Lombard Direct, our business failed but we could not claim on ppi policy as we did not go insolvent (we remortgaged to clear the debts). sent all the info to FO, had a call from them 2 weeks ago saying they were not happy with the way the policy was sold and are now taking it up with Lombard on our behalf.
So ignore the unhelpful remarks made by some on this site, and persue it, we are not all perfect and read the small print in the time given, some of us are trusting and believe we are being sold something for our benefit !
good luck.:j :j :j :T :T0 -
