Mortgage for part finished new build?

I am contemplating buying a part finished house from a developer. The walls and roof are up but nothing apart from that. Is this mortgageable?

Possibly down the self-build route, if you have a decent deposit.

Not on a standard mortgage as it would not be classed as habitable, however if you get plans / building regs done for what you plan to do to the place you may be able to go down self build - you would need advance stage payments. Someone like Skipton would be worth talking to about it.
