Any good to unblock drains - anyone know?

Hey, just used this yesterday. There is a small u-shaped hook on the end.
I have proper draining rods, but some drains have really sharp bends that they cannot get round so used this.

Anyway, it got round the bend, and was strong enough to get through the blockage. However, the twisting motion that you see on the picture was no good as it is about 16 feet long and actually twisted the spring outside of the drain before it could twist the end of the hook.

Having said that I used it with an in and out motion only and it did the job. It was flexible enough to turn the sharp corner and stiff enough to get through the blockage. But unless you have the whole length in the pipe the twisting motion won't work.
