What size curtains?

I make the heaviest curtains I possbly can bearing in mind I always buy Dunelm's reduced fabric. But yes I do have problems with the track. I suppose the metal is a bit more expensive? Never mind, if it works better
I have my budget 'sewn up' for this year, with the loft panels, the gravel for the garden, and I think the washer dryer is going to die shortly. But I'll definitely get some for this room, thanks very much for the advice xxx
