  • I'm the same, the other day I had to modify what I intended to do with some mince cos I knew it would never get it back into the freezer! I was going to have Chilli and then home made burgers later on in the week so had to swop them around and make the chilli and stick it in the fridge over night. Still ended up with a single portion of Chilli that went into the freezer. I usually get a 500g pack of mince and make mince base e.g. cook with onions, lentils, porridge oats, soya mince, herbs, stock, tinned toms etc. and then stick this back in the freezer in portioned amounts and then use as a base to make cottage pie, lasagne, bolegnese, chilli etc but 1 pack usually makes 6 portions! So one pack out, 6 in means I have to clever about when I do it!:rotfl: Atm I'm full to the gunnels in 2 freezers, hoping I only have to do top-up shopping this month to get fresh stuff!
  • A good labelling tip that I got off here ages ago was to stick a bit of masking tape on the container and write the contents on that. It works really well using just a normal biro pen.
