The Compers Inn - Part 6

I have spent quite a lot of time asking people to change their end dates where it isnt the correct format, but some people ignore me
and even some who I've asked in the past and have changed it, when they post again they don't conform.
I'm tired of asking people and even with the stickies at the top of the main page lots of people choose to do it their own way.
The searching by end date for yourself is going to become impossible and I myself rely on that method to check for any I have missed so it is a bit of a bum. May have to go elsewhere0 -
I do appreciate your frustration IWBOTB. It's not that difficult to remember the format - is it? I try to everytime I post one - or should I say on the rare occasion! Is it 'newer' folk or just random?Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
I would like to be lucky,healthy & happy in 2020! :T0 -
I have no idea if it's even possible, and I hope its not out of place for me to say, but could we not have some sort of compulsary tutorial for the first time posters or something? or make it the top sticky so people see it or something? Perhaps because it's not the first sticky, people just don't see it? Call it something like "Read this before posting comps" or something similar possibly? *is throwing random thoughts out of her tired brain*
I for one appreciate all the effort people went to to get the new dating system in place, it's at least polite for people to follow the new rulesBest wins since June 08: 2xNikonD60, 2xBrothers Cider, £330 SwanJackpot, £100 Garden Vs, £50 Espirit V, £750 BigSnap2, Wiifit, zoo tix, 7xCadburys, 5xGlamour, IOWTix, Dell Laptop, 3xIpodNano, £100 Highstreet Vs, Digi VideoCamera and more small bits, REAL DEAL £2400! :jRIP Dad 1943-20090 -
tbh its the more regular posters I find. and where its a newer poster, they are more willing to change it
I dont think the more regular posters like to be asked - as if they are being told off??!!! but it is the rule and the rule is there for a reason, so....
and I hate to mention it, but i think the comps ending lists row could resurface, as I appreciate the frustration of people using the end date format to comp. it's too difficult when they dont all use the same format0 -

see my previous post...its regular posters, not newbies.
and the top sticky willl be the one with the most recent reply....
but tbh the sticky is already there in big enough letters, so if people dont want/choose not to read it, they wont, no matter where it is0 -
