  • for green tomatoes to ripen:

put in dish on their own to ripen, can take a couple of days
or put them into a paper bag with a banana
DO NOT put them in the fridge, they wont ripen at all
put them on the windowsill to ripen

or make green tomato chutney, mmm:D

lol yep splodz I did! , just after the rota's stopped moving and all the dust went up my nose, I can still taste it and feel the burning now Thanks for the sympathy vote Gert :rotfl:Pixiedust, DH did something similar but slightly more embarrassing the other day when he was chopping the fresh jalepenos for the cilli sauce we were making, and needed to visit the little boys room! Benhams, mine go on a south facing windowsill and are ready in no time :D
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

No idea about growing veg... I barely manage to keep my herbs alive (mind you that might be something to do with two rabbits who enjoy eating them up when let out to play!!)!

There are loads of them gerturdeanna... I did them Friday and Saturday evenings and even Sunday morning. I didn't enter anywhere near them all but it still took ages (and I'm not really sure how I'd got so behind anyway).
