Too right you get that letter of apology; no staff member ANYWHERE should talk to a customer like that. It's unprofessional. Just wait til they're gone and then mutter it under your breath!! Although you were in the right anyway. And it drives me nuts too when I see cigarette butts on forecourts; how bloody stupid and selfish can some people be?!0

If I eat my indian takeaway with my eyes shut, I reckon it wont count towards my syns for slimming world0

I know DD is daughter and DS is son but what does the extra D stand for?
Muffy0, eating curry with your eyes shut could be messy if you're having it with a few beers...but you're right, it absolutely doesn't count towards your daily calories...:D0 -

Do you mean the first "D"? If so that means "darling" or "dearest" (in my case dippy or dotty).
Muffy - mate used to think eating really fast mean you didn't have time to take in the calories??!?? And Dawn French says if you eat standing up you don't put on weight !!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Ah, bingo, thank you for explaining.
Some celebs have some stupid chew each mouthful 50 times thing going on so that its easier to digest so your body is less likely to soak up the fat, etc, and also so you burn calories.
In all seriousness, drinking ice cold water with meals is free and it helps boost your metabolism as your body needs to work harder and burn calories warming up again. Green tea is more winter-friendly and is also meant to be good at helping you lose weight.0 -

Mars Bar?! Where?
Today's food total so far: 2 packs of Tilda microwave rice, 4 stodgy ready meals (2 of which were pasta), 1 yoghurt, 5 packs of smarties, 2 cans of fanta, half a litre of Dr Pepper. I blame my hormones.0
