Im guessing although unfair that he/she had not heard of the Western Daily press. However this information is useful for people like myself who have access to it!! Its no different from people posting LondonMetro info.

Theres always going to be some useful posts and some not so useful to individuals- so no need for sarcastic responses!! (not you Leothecat)

I only buy papers when it is going to be to my financial advantage - moc or vouchers for something I need/want. This also applies to my local rag - so if anyone posted on here about some offers in the Leicester Mercury, I would be grateful.
Last year a friend gave me the heads up, and I ended up with half price deals at Pierre Bistro - which was delicious, and not only saved me a fortune, but meant I could take the kids out for a bit of a treat without breaking the bank.
Also ended up with free icecreams at Brucianos ( I'm sure I've spelt that wrong) and free burgers and chocs etc......so agree, posting about provincial newspapers can also be beneficial. I don't know whether mods may say this should be on the "Local Moneysaving" threads - which I know exist somewhere, but never read
  • Thankyou for posting info on Western Daily Press. My mum gets this paper and so if any coupons are reported I ask her to send them to me as she may not spot them herself. So thanks to the individual who posts here info on the Daily Press.

Hi manda1205- not too hot on boots deals- could you explain further to me please? (maybe through private message to avoid chat!) thanks
Seems the voucher in the paper is not a voucher after all, its just an advert telling you to remember that if you spend £5 instore you will get a £5 No7 voucher. You also get a £5 facial skincare one too.

I have had my eye on this months book anyway & thought i'd try the DM voucher just in case. The Tesco assistant kindly imputed the voucher code by hand & it was accepted. Total cost was .36p! I think i was just lucky with the assistant I had, but if anyone wants that particular book it is worth a try. I think it would have been a different story if i'd tried it without buying the book though.
